Webinar: The Perimeter-Less Perimeter: An Investigation

September 2018 Office Hours with James: The Perimeter-Less Perimeter

Where are your boundaries? For an IT pro, they’re not quite where you think they should be! For the September Office Hours with James, CompTIA Chief Technology Evangelist Dr. James Stanger will discuss elements of the perimeter-less perimeter, including software-defined networking (SDN) and the loose concept of the software-defined perimeter (SDP).

These are new approaches, but the death of the perimeter is a reality that is already upon us. Our approach as IT pros to these changes is, frankly, a bit half-baked. The reason our response is a bit immature is that things have changed so quickly.

Dr. Stanger will also provide a hands-on demonstration of how to use the mininet project . This demonstration will help you learn more about how both SDN and SDP work. It also shows how virtualization and containers work. So, if you want to learn more about how today's networks operate and how you can play around with these concepts, then join us!

Hi, am planning to renew my Comptia Sec+ this month, will this program renew my certificate after completion or i still need to pay and renew? Thanks

Hi, Segun! You will earn continuing education units (CEUs) for attending this webinar, but attending one webinar will not fully renew your certification. You'll need to complete additional CEU activities to fully renew. When you renew with multiple activities, you still need to pay your CE fees. If you would like to avoid fees, you can either pass the latest release of your CompTIA exam, earn a higher-level CompTIA certification or complete CompTIA CertMaster CE. Learn more here: https://certification.comptia.org/continuing-education Good luck!
